Loree Russeau is a globally recognized dance educator, choreographer, adjudicator, and arts leader based in Southern California. Her career spans international dance education, competitive adjudication, choreography, and creative operations across multidisciplinary arts organizations, including operational and business support for Intelliscape Films and Grand Avenue Studios in Los Angeles.
Since 2023, Ms. Russeau has served as the USA Ambassador for Blandi Dance Events (Malta) and La Luna Dance Center (Italy). A sought-after international master class instructor and judge, she is regularly invited to teach and adjudicate at prestigious events worldwide, including:
In 2025, her choreography was featured at Walt Disney World, and her work was spotlighted at the CDF Festival in Ancona, Italy, held at the historic Mole Vanvitelliana. She returned as a Master Class Instructor at La Luna Dance Center in July 2025, reaffirming her continued global impact on dance education.
Ms. Russeau is deeply committed to expanding access to elite training through scholarship initiatives and international partnerships. From 2023–2025, she collaborated with the Peridance Center (NYC) to support international student opportunities. Previously, she served as European Advocate for Steps on Broadway in 2019, awarding over $21,000 in scholarships to dancers abroad. In 2016, she was a featured guest artist at the Dance Master Class in Granada and Seville, Spain, collaborating with Angela DeMello, former soloist with the Royal Ballet and Principal Dancer with the English National Ballet.
As the Founder and Former Artistic Director of the Academy of Dance in the Detroit metropolitan area, Ms. Russeau mentored generations of dancers while building a nationally respected training program. Through Dance Theatre USA, she has awarded over $500,000 in scholarships to leading institutions, including:
She previously served as Vice President of the Professional Dance Teachers of America and was a longtime All-Star Staff member with Dance Caravan USA, contributing to nationally distributed instructional content supporting dance educators and students.
Her commitment to cultural exchange includes work with the Russia & West Virginia Foundation, facilitating artistic collaboration with the Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory. Her scholarship programs have supported dancers from more than a dozen countries across Europe, North America, and Central America.
Ms. Russeau holds a degree from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, with studies in Education, Business, Dance, and Health Education. She is also a Certified Pilates Instructor, specializing in injury prevention and dancer conditioning.
Her students have gone on to perform with the Radio City Rockettes, on Broadway, and in major commercial productions. Notable alumni include Kaye Lani Rae Rafko, Miss America 1988.
Ms. Russeau has been honored as a Master Teacher by the Professional Dance Teachers of America, Hoctor’s Dance Caravan, Stars of Tomorrow, and Dance Educators of America, and she is a Championship Adjudicator for the World Artistic Dance Federation (WADF). She continues to shape the international competitive dance landscape through education, mentorship, and excellence.
She collaborates with Project Runway designer Gordana Gehlhausen and works closely with the California Center for the Arts, supporting creative projects that bridge dance, fashion, and performance.
